ABOUT

The Institute for Recovery Ministry at Fuller Theological Seminary was established in January of 2004 for the purpose of encouraging the development of recovery ministries. In addition to offering a number of academic degree programs related to recovery ministry, the Institute hopes to develop training programs, intensive think-tank experiences for ministry leaders and a variety of other programs. Matt is an Assistant Professor of Recovery Ministry at Fuller Theological Seminary and a Senior Associate Pastor at Saint Paul’s United Methodist Church in Houston, TX.

Jonathan is the Vice President of Programs at the Bay Area Rescue Mission in Richmond, CA, an adjunct professor of philosophy and religion at Chaffey College and a contributing fellow with the USC Center for Religion and Civic Culture.

The Fuller Institute for Recovery Ministry is part of the School of Theology at Fuller Theological Seminary. The purpose of the Institute is to train, support and encourage pastors, therapists, missionaries, chaplains and lay leaders who are actively engaged in recovery ministry.
